Year One took a walk to look at the bridges over the River Tamar as part of this term's topic 'Are We There Yet?'. Following on from their homework and investigation in class they spotted lots of different vehicle which use wheels. Lots of the lorries waved and tooted us as they crossed the Tamar Bridge into Cornwall.
This term the children will be learning more about these local bridges and finding out what drove people to build them,. They will also be finding out about who built the Royal Albert Bridge and why this was such an important inventor.
