Year 1 had a fantastic day out at Dartmoor Zoo. We were able to see many animals that link with our topic on Africa, such as lion, cheetah, meerkats, goats, ostriches and monkeys. It was wonderful to see in real life the animals we had been researching in class.
The children were fascinated by the many animals they could see, smell and hear. Lots of questions were asked and answered. We all felt that our learning improved greatly.
