Today, in year 1, we have come to school in costume! We are
superheroes and will be using our superpowers this week to solve lots of Science, Technology, and Engineering
and Mathematics problems and save
the day.
We have been looking at the story ‘Supertato’ by Sue Hendra
and Paul Linnet. In it a potato superhero has to save the other vegetables from
an escaped, evil Pea!
We have done lots of activities linked to the story
including; untangling the characters from padlocks and string, saving frozen
veg entombed in ice, painting using peas and carrots and looked at how coloured
dye travels up the stem of a flower to change the colour of the petals.
